I saw a show about her one time on the food network..it was about how she got started in this business..she showed pictures of her younger days in college…Oh my God she was one good looking woman..thin and very long black hair

Of course her name is NOT Barefoot Contessa. Barefoot Contessa was the name of her speciality foods store. Her name is INA (ROSENBERG) GARTEN. She is known as the barefoot contessa though. i know this because she is my culinary hero/idol/icon!!! love her!
