While there are many very well designed stoves, not many are designed to meet the numbers that are really needed. 1.6 Billion people cook on open fires. The LuciaStove was specifically designed for mass production using largely recycled metals. Each top can made with the aluminium of roughly 28 pop cans. This single tool can produce four stoves a minute. This summer we hope to have grills available for those who wish to do carbon negative grilling. In the USA alone each fourth of July the equivalent of 20000 acres of forest are used for grilling. While being wildly in favour of grilled meals, we ask, why not do so in a carbon negative way and sequester the carbon by putting the char in your garden or house plants at the end of the meal?

Thanks for the question. This is a four cavity tool (injection molding). The critical components of the LuciaStove were designed to be injection molded. Each cycle represents the creation of four components. The steam you see is actually cooling and lubricant. At the very end you get a glimpse of the four newly made disks connected by a sprew (the branch like bits of aluminium which are removed during clean up, kind of like airplane model kits)
Nice soundtrack. But what is going on the video? We see something like a giant press that closes and opens, then some smoke/steam. Aside from that, what with the low res and strange blurry color tone, can’t tell what on earth is happening.
awesome! where/when can they be bought?
This is wonderful! I never realized how much charcoal was used! 20,000 acres is a lot of wood and thats only in one day! This is a great project!
Hope to see more but just to be nosey since you can make 4 stoves a minute how many stoves have you made so far???
thank you so much 86thmountmerrion, been a while since my last video but you can see now why ;0). More soon
Wow that’s very cool!!!
Well done 5/5
