@tmc200527 its polycarbonate for sure.. I think they were 4×12 panels, 1/2 inch double wall. . I had an inner visqueen skin for a while but its pretty much worthless. it falls apart in no time. I really dont remember where I got the material.. from some place on the internet for sure. the name greenhouse supply stores. “charlies greenhouse” etc are pretty expensive.. shop around! you can do better.. sorry im not much help. I built it 15 years ago but it has not yellowed one little bit!

Hi, From the outside it looks like you have an outer polycarbonate wall and an inner wall. Did you purchase the panels from a greenhouse supply store? I bought a greenhouse kit but think maybe I should have just built one like yours.

no pipes. its light gauge angle iron, bent slightly ever 2 feet, from the ridge to the ground. gives it enough curve to attach the sheets of polycarbonate, which bends easily. it is built in six sections, 3 on each side, making it easy to handle, then the sections are erected and bolted together.

how did you bend the pipes?

well the reason I have a”quonset” shape is to keep 5 feet of snow from crushing it!

could someone explain the popularity of the dome shape? Is it because it deflects the wind and rain most easily?

It seems to me that a like a box shaped green house would be easier to build due to skipping the bending of pipes. I’m brand new to greenhouses. Please explain. Thanks

Nice job on the greenhouse. Is that a kit or did you build it from scratch? How many watts is that heater? I’m trying to find a good way to heat my greenhouse over the winter….
